Peter Holmes is the Conservative Councillor for Heath ward on Maidstone Borough Council, elected in May 2021.
Peter is a local family man, who works in the construction industry and importantly lives in Heath Ward. Originally from South Yorkshire from a working class family (Dad an electrician and Mum a school dinner lady) Peter moved to Kent in 2010.
As a local resident, he can often be found out and about within the area, either having a pint, playing with his family on the Heath, jogging along the local public rights of way or shopping in the town centre. Peter also has expertise in the construction industry as a Project Manager, so he knows the difference between good housing proposals with community benefits and bad developments that lead to rat-runs, increased traffic and loss of green space, wildlife and vegetation.
Peter says, “Over recent years I have been involved in community projects which have led to me building relationships within the area and is why I feel proud to be representing Heath ward.”
