David is Deputy Chairman Political of Maidstone and Malling Conservatives and leads the association's campaigning activity.
Locally, David has been deeply involved in campaigns to protect the Green Belt and local heritage, including St Mary’s Abbey in West Malling. In addition to chairing the Planning Committee on the Parish Council, he has also stood for both Borough and County elections since moving to the area in 2017.
Professionally, David is currently Director, UK & External Relations at the British Council, with responsibility for operations across the UK and its interactions with the UK and Devolved Governments. This role follows political posts in Parliament and Higher Education, as well as time in the private sector.
David lives in West Malling with his wife, Aurore.
