This week, our Association thanked our MP, Helen Grant, for her service and dedication over the past ten years. Whilst our focus is to continue to serve and support our communities at this difficult time, we asked Helen for some words to mark the anniversary. Commenting on the ten year anniversary of her election as MP for Maidstone and The Weald, Helen Grant MP said,

"It has been the privilege of my life to serve the people of Maidstone and The Weald for the last ten years.

I have been enormously lucky to work with some inspirational people across our community during that time. Together, we have assisted thousands of people and advanced some very worthwhile campaigns including preserving and improving our hospital services, protecting against inappropriate housing developments and bettering school transport. Thank you to each and every person who has helped me along the way over the last decade.

It continues to be a real honour to represent one of the most beautiful areas in the country and I look forward to doing everything within my power to help people in Maidstone and The Weald through these current challenging times and beyond."
