The Party Chairman, Kevin Hollinrake MP, came to Kings Hill this week to speak to Party Members about his role helping the party rebuild, holding the current government to account and preparing for elections across the UK.
Kevin met more than 60 members from right across Kent at the Kings Hill Community Centre for an evening of discussion, debate and networking. After addressing attendees on the work that has already been done to improve campaigning and membership operations and underlining recent polling that shows the Conservative Party beginning to win back the trust of voters, Kevin took questions on a wide range of subjects.
Members asked about housing and planning, transport, defence and how the party is selecting the best possible candidates to contest local elections, as well as a future General Election.
Commenting at the evening, Chairman of Maidstone and Malling Conservatives, David Thompson, said:
"We're so pleased that Kevin has come down to Kent to speak to us and to unite members from right across the county in an evening of conversation. It is really important that our activists and candidates understand what the party is doing centrally to help us win again in the context of a national government and county council that is failing local residents on so many levels".
"Our thanks go out to Kevin and his team and everyone that joined us on behalf of all MMCA members".
