Maidstone and The Weald Conservatives hosted the awe-inspiring Paymaster General, Penny Mordaunt MP for a virtual fundraising event on Thursday January 28th.
Penny spoke honestly and movingly about her journey into politics, alongside many current issues. These included the need to cut through red-tape and put power back into local communities. She kept the audience gripped with her candid views on some topical issues and there were many hands raised for the Q&A session which followed. Questions were asked on everything from engaging young people in politics to civil service reform.
A very enjoyable evening was had by all, topped off by our traditional raffle.
